The VSPT Group was present at the 14th WoC Annual Trade Tasting in London

September, 2011.- Last Wednesday, September 7th, the VSPT Group participated in the new version of the Annual Trade Tasting in London, which is considered the most important activity for the Chilean wine industry in the United Kingdom.

This fourteenth version of the trade fair –organized by Wines of Chile-, took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls of London, and this time, it included almost 100 Chilean wine cellars which exhibited a total amount of 500 wines during the event. In addition, seminars and tastings with a thematic focus were carried out.

The VSPT Group was present at a stand that gathered an exhibit of the best wines from San Pedro, Santa Helena, Misiones de Rengo, Viña Mar and Casa Rivas wineries.

Every year, the show congregates hundreds of journalists, retail traders, sommeliers and the most important purchasers in this important European market, becoming the perfect instance to strengthen bonds and, at the same time, to establish new trading links.

The Director of Wines of Chile’s office in England, Michael Cox, summarized the meeting as follows: “We have had a tremendous exhibit of the strength of Chilean wine cellars this year. We have also been able to see the great interest there is from key purchasers in the market, which augurs very good business for the industry. Comments made by several guests suggest that Chile continues to push the right buttons, on all levels, and maybe what’s most interesting for us, is the growing interest there is in our Premium wines”.

Undoubtedly, a most valuable instance to develop trading links and promote our brands in this country which has always stood out for its hospitality and enthusiastic welcoming to our wines.
