April 2012.- In the last issue of the “Weekend” supplement of Ukrainian “Kommersant” newspaper, specialized journalist Valeriya Trufakina published the results of a wine tasting that included three of the most emblematic VSPT Group wines.
These wines are Sideral, 2003 vintage, by Altaïr Vineyards & Winery; 1865 Single Vineyard Syrah, 2007 vintage and 1865 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005 vintage, the last two of which are by Viña San Pedro.
The expert qualified the samples as outstanding.
She highlighted the 1865 Single Vineyard line Syrah as “a wine whose aroma is not only prominent, but jumps out of the glass. It has notes of wood, plum, spices, chocolate, tobacco and vanilla, which all grant it great structure.
On its part, 2003 Sideral was described as a wine “that brings together the Chilean terroir and the Bordeaux experience, resulting in a fantastic blend. A wine with plenty of fruit, which is silky and with an excellent balance and structure. Full and structured flavor with well-developed tannins”.
“Kommersant” newspaper is one of the most influential communication media in Ukraine and its number of readers exceeds one million people.
